- E-mandate (mandate registration through net-banking): This has a limit of Rs. 99,999. This means that you can invest upto Rs. 99,999 on any given day. For any higher amounts, we recommend using net banking.
- NACH (mandate registration through paper scan): This can have any limit ranging from Rs. 1 Lakh to Rs. 1 Crore (in multiples of Rs. 1 Lakh). The default limit is Rs. 1 Lakh. This limit determines how much you can invest upto on any business day using the auto-debit.
Think of these limits as credit card limits. These are only upper limits and the actual debit will always happen only as per the investments you choose to make.
This limit cannot be changed in case of an e-mandate and in case of a NACH, it can be increased from Rs. 1 Lakh based on your investment needs (FAQ on how to increase it). Keeping a high amount ensures that rebalancing to keep you on track to reach your goals can be done without any hassles.
