SWP is the short form for "Systematic Withdrawal Plan". An SWP is a plan that allows investors to give consent to a Mutual Fund to periodically redeem/withdraw a certain amount of money from one scheme to the investor’s bank account. It is the exact opposite of SIPs.
For example, if you have Rs. 50,000 invested in Fund X and you wish to withdraw it over the course of 5 months, then we can help you set up an SWP as below:
Fund in which SWP has to be set up: Fund X
SWP amount: Rs. 10,000
SWP Duration: 5 months
SWP date (1st of every month)
