Importing your external mutual fund investments to Niyo Money is very easy. You can do it in just a few steps.

A. Steps as per the App (we recommend this, as it's easier and automated)

Home page → Menu (bottom right) → Mutual Funds →  Import Mutual Funds.

1. Enter the email address for which you want to generate the statement and proceed (the email with which the external investments are linked).

2. We will pre-fill all details (with the password “Niyo123”) and help generate the statement.

3. Once you receive the statement, forward it to [email protected] and your external investments will start getting tracked/updated.

B. Steps as per the Website:

Top Left Menu > Track External Funds

1. Enter the email address for which you want to generate the statement and proceed (the email with which the external investments are linked).

2You will be redirected to the CAMS website, where you can select these fields:

  • Statement Type: "Detailed".

  • Period: "Specific Period". (We suggest selecting the duration from 1 Jan 1980 to today- it ensures that all transactions can be covered).

  • Folio listing: "with zero balance"

  • Enter your email and PAN

  • Password: "Niyo123". Submit the request.

Once you have generated the statement (using the app/website), you should receive it on your email within 2 hours (ideally). Please forward the email (with attachment) to [email protected]. Within minutes, you will be able to see your external investments reflect on Niyo Money (on the external tracking page).

Step 5: If you wish to move these external funds to some goals, you can click on the "Move Funds to Goals" option on the external tracking page. This page will show you a checklist next to each external fund. You can select the funds and select which goal/goals you want to move them to.

While moving funds, you will also get an option to switch your regular mutual funds to commission-free direct mutual funds.

Once moved to goals, you can start transacting in them.

(Moving them is just an option, and it's your choice whether you just want to track it externally or within goals).
