Whenever you redeem (withdraw) from your mutual fund investments, the amount usually gets credited to your bank account within the below-mentioned timeline:
Equity Mutual Funds - In up to 5 business days.
Debt Mutual Funds - In up to 3 business days.
Liquid Mutual Funds (a type of Debt Funds) - In up to 2 business days.
Note: Saturday, Sunday, and several holidays are considered non-business days for Mutual Fund Companies.
There are two non-business days coming up this week which can cause some delay in the redemption money reaching your bank account. Apart from Saturday and Sunday, these are non-working days for all Mutual Fund Schemes:
- 4th November - Thursday - Diwali
- 5th November - Friday - Diwali
Please note, since it is a bank holiday, the redemption credit would delay for all mutual funds. We've made a table to help explain the dates by when you can expect the redemption amount to reach your bank account:
